Safety Precautions for Soft Contact Lens Users
Soft contact lenses are not a toy to be played around with and neglected. They are very important medical devices that should be kept safe and worn responsibly. If you do not properly clean and disinfect your contacts, it could lead to serious eye and vision problems. That is why we are including a list of safety tips for all you contact lens wearers:
- Don’t wear your contact lenses overnight
- Don’t wear your contact lenses in the shower or while swimming
- Don’t reuse contact lens solution
- Don’t use saline solution for contact lens cleaning or disinfection, saline solution are only for rinsing
- Replace your contact lens case every two to three months
- Take out your contacts if they are bothering you
- Never use saliva as a wetting agent
